Ada Lynn here reporting on my impressions of my first birthday. A little slideshow if you will...

After the thrill and excitement of Ada's birthday party and family visiting (blogpost coming soon, i hope!) , Bjørn's appendix decided to also make his debut! This involved Bjørn laying at home for 3 days in excruciating pain, until we finally got him to the ER, diagnosed and operated on. Mr. Appendix had already ruptured, though just a little bit. And we know that God took care of Bjørn and his appendix through it all.
It's true, while waiting for the operation in the hospital room, Bjørn was a little sad to think of losing a body part. Yet by the time he got home, and pain was much less, he knew it was right to let the little guy go. His sister-in-law, Jill sent him a poem to morn the loss of Mr. Appendix, and so without further adieu, I give you......
Read more...With his wife gone on an adventure in Ireland in early March, Grandpa C decided to drown his loneliness with a quick trip up to see his granddaughter and favorite daughter & son-in-law -- yes that would be us! We started Saturday off with a lunch at a local bistro in La Connor.
